Gary L. Wiman, 63, Oblong, Illinois passed away at 8:12 a.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2011, at his residence following a brief battle with esophageal cancer. Born in Crawford County, Illinois on September 13, 1948, he was the son of Verl B. Wiman and Betty Josephine (Musgrave) Wiman. He was a former employee of Casey Tool & Machine, Casey, Illinois as a machine operator. He attended White Oak Christian Church, rural Oblong, Illinois.
On July 17, 1983, Gary married Carolyn F. Midgett, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Candace Aldolph and Carolyn “Carri” Wiman; four step-children, James Edward Birch, Sharon & Jeff Reynolds, Richard Allen Birch, Sherri & Stanley Scott; one adopted son, James Wiman Sr.; a sister and brother-in-law, Connie & Jim Woodward; one nephew; one niece; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and one step-son, Brian Birch in 1981.
